Hero Electric AE-75

At the Auto Expo 2020, Hero Electric presented numerous electric scooters, including the AE-75, a high-speed model that is set to launch in June. Although Hero Electric has not released the complete specifications of the AE-75, the company claims that it can achieve a top speed of 55kmph and has a range of 80km on a single charge. The AE-75’s range is said to be up to 80km/charge when fully charged.

Gogoro 2 Series

Zypp Electric and Gogoro have formed an alliance and have officially entered the Indian market.
The Gogoro S1, a high-end electric scooter from the Taiwanese brand, is expected to be the first product launched in India on November 3. The S1’s international version is powered by a mid-mounted electric motor that produces a maximum power of 7.2kW and a peak torque of 27Nm.Â
It comes with a swappable Lithium-ion battery pack that offers a claimed range of 150km at a cruising speed of 30kmph, and can accelerate from zero to 50kmph in 3.7 seconds. The e-scooter is built on an aluminum monocoque chassis and features disc brakes, 12-inch alloys, and an LCD instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity.

TVS Creon

An electric scooter from TVS, possibly based on the Creon concept, has been spotted in Hosur, indicating some progress from the company in the electric segment. While it may not have the radical design of the Creon, TVS is expected to unveil it later this year. Visit this link to learn more about the spied electric scooter.
TVS had initially showcased the Creon electric scooter concept at the Auto Expo 2018, which had a striking resemblance to the Italjet Dragster. It featured a 16PS electric motor that could accelerate from 0-60kmph in 5.1 seconds. Okinawa Cruiser

At the Auto Expo 2020, Okinawa unveiled its first maxi-styled scooter called the Okinawa Cruiser. The scooter looks larger than conventional petrol-powered scooters and has a flashy paint scheme that adds to its style quotient.
Under the hood, the Cruiser is powered by a 3kW brushless motor that has a top speed of 100kmph and a range of 75-80km per charge. It takes around 2 to 3 hours to fully charge the battery using a conventional power socket.
The Okinawa Cruiser comes with a full LED headlight, a semi-digital instrument console, and a front disc brake. It also has additional storage behind the front apron. Expect the scooter to have features that are on par, if not better than the rest of Okinawa’s portfolio, such as central locking with an anti-theft alarm, keyless entry, and a USB charging port.
Although Okinawa has not revealed the pricing of the Cruiser, it is expected to be positioned above the i-Praise Pro, which is priced at Rs 108,728 (ex-showroom). It’s worth noting that the company currently has 350 dealers across India.
The Okinawa Cruiser has a range of up to 120 km after a full charge. It takes between 2 and 3 hours to fully charge the battery.

Everve EF1

During Auto Expo 2020, Everve revealed the EF1, an electric scooter prototype with impressive performance and features, putting it in competition with other high-end electric scooters like the Ather 450X. The EF1 will be available with either a 3kW or a more powerful 5kW motor, boasting acceleration from 0-60kmph in 8.53 seconds and a top speed of 100kmph.Â
The EF1 will come with two removable lithium-ion batteries, which can be charged using a conventional 5A socket in 5 hours, or up to 50% using a fast charger. With both batteries, the scooter can travel up to 100km, making it an impressive contender in the electric scooter market.
